GAMES WITH CHALK
With chalk you can easily and with fun move outside.
Very simply and creative movement which increase your equilibristic facilities:
- Draw a line on the ground with the chalk; one child show a way to go forward, backwards, to jump on the line with two feet, on one feet,… the other children tries to do the same way, then an other child shows his idea.
- Draw a slalom line; do as before
- Draw two lines: go between; go outside; jump on them
- Draw more lines: who can jump over the most lines…..
Draw with the chalk a whole area for tricycles or running-boards;
Draw an area for little play-cars or to play with your dolls;
Draw several circles on the ground. All the children from the class are walking around. When the teacher claps his hands, he says also a number. Now as many children as clapping in the hands have to go in one house (first step for calculation).
Draw the
jump-game one the floor:
Every child (three or four children for one game) takes a small stone.
The first child throws its stone on number one. If the stone lies on the that number, he or she can spring on number 2 and 3 together, 4 with on foot, 5 and 6 together, … till 10 then he jumps back.
If he had done well, he throws his stone on number 2. He springs on number 1, then 3, 4, 5and 6,.... till 10 then back. Never jump on a number with a stone. If the stone doesn't lie on the right number/square or the child does a mistake by jumping, it's the next child's turn. The child, who reachs first number 10 is the winner.
This game we play since generations in Luxembourg.
You need:
plaster from a building shop;
oil;
egg-shells to put the plaster in or empty plastic yogurt cups;
cold Easter egg color or food color but very concentrated (white plaster needs a lot of color).
Take the first third from the egg off, eat the contents and wash it with detergent. Put the egg-shell now in an egg-cup and do a little bit of oil in it. Now prepare the Egg color with a cup of water. Put the plaster under stirring in the water until your substance is like yogurt. Now you have to pour it quickly in the egg forms. When the plaster is solid (half an hour later), you can peel the egg. It has to dry one day in the sun or by the heat.
